Our Family

We are the Jenks family.

We belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. David and I met in January of 2010 while attending BYU-Idaho. We were married on April 15th, 2011 in the LDS Bountiful, Utah Temple. Since our wedding day we have lived in three states, given birth to two children, and have loved every moment of our life together. Here's a little more about our family:

David & Amanda

David is a 28-year-old student, pursuing a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. After completing his Master's Degree David plans to get a Ph.D. and achieve his lifelong dream of teaching at a University. David's hobbies include collecting movies and woodworking.

I (Amanda) am a 25-year-old stay-at-home mom. I fill my days with laundry, cleaning, wrestling a toddler, and caring for a baby. I love the occasional craft/DIY and helping David build things, but my true passion in life is cooking yummy food from scratch for our family.

I write our family blog because I am terrible at keeping a journal and want our posterity to have a record of our life events, as well as an idea of who we are/were as people.

Joey

Joey is our three-year-old boy. He is usually a sweet little guy but he does have a mischievous side. Sometimes when he talks back to us or throws massive tantrums we call him our little threenager. He is very independent and intelligent. He loves his stuffed animals, Big Hero Six, and he's the pickiest eater I have ever met (as of like one month ago, he used to eat anything and everything). We love our little Joey!

Lizzie 

Lizzie is a one-year-old girlie with a lot of spunk and sass. She enjoys playing "peek-a-boo" and claps along to "pat-a-cake". She'll eat any food that involves cheese and carbs (she really is my daughter). She's gorgeous, happy, and absolutely radiant. We are so glad she is a part of our family.
