Hey all! This is Amanda here and I just wanted to write a little update about the things that are happening for us this fall.
David graduates on December 21st! He is really excited and proud of this upcoming accomplishment, though he'd never be one to brag. In fact he normally acts like it's no biggie. But it is and I am especially proud of him. It's been an adventure to walk by his side through his last few years of college and I think I will always look back with fondness at the memories we've had here. Our poor married-student years will always have a place in our hearts. Just the other day we spent ten minutes digging up 70 cents from my wallet just so we could buy a can of tomato sauce. Fun times (and yes I really mean that).
When December comes we really still have no idea what we are going to do. We have to move out of our apartment because it's BYU-Idaho's housing. That means as soon as you aren't a student they kick you right out. Right now we are trying to focus on applying to grad schools but we won't know where we have gotten in until next spring at the earliest. We are praying and fasting and attending the temple a lot recently. But it's no fun not knowing the future so if you could also include us in your prayers that would be great. We have faith that everything will fall into place as it should but this is still really scary for us.
I'm loving being a stay-at-home mom, as always. Joey is entertaining as ever and we bond more and more each day. I can't say too much about the following, but I've recently been offered some new work-at-home opportunities. I am *fingers crossed* starting an internship with a website this week as a food contributor (more on that later, as I can announce it when the contract becomes official) and I was asked to be part of a series of e-cookbooks by Frederative Publishing. I don't by any means think I'm amazing at what I do, but I do love cooking and writing a food blog and I am excited for these new opportunities. I have aspirations to learn to be a web designer and developer so that in a year or two I can make the blog look and run how I want it to without having to pay someone else because we just don't have that kind of money!
Joey is cute as a button. He is getting taller and he climbs better than a monkey (he thinks he is invincible too). His newest words are "Jayden" (a friend of his), "water", "bottle", "amen", "no", and "please". He loves quinoa which was really surprising to both of us. We feel incredibly blessed to have him in our lives.
That's all for now, but we will keep everyone posted as much as we can!
LOVE Amanda, David, and Joey
